Golf for Life is being run in support of Swanwick Relay for Life, a local charity that has raised over £40,000 for Cancer Research UK in the last two years. This page contains more information about the charity.

Swanwick Relay for Life was started in 2007 to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK to research cures to various forms of Cancer. The charity raises money all year round but the fundraising year culminates in a 24 hour Relay for Life event, held in the grounds of Swanwick Hall School in Derbyshire.

Swanwick Relay for Life is different to all other Relay for Life events for one main reason - it is unique. Swanwick Relay for Life has a community fun day appeal - with various stalls, games and activities. The ceremonies which take place vary rapidly in their emotions - the Opening and Closing ceremonies are generally a happy and relieved feeling, while the Candle of Hope is a deeply moving and emotional few hours. Relay 2007 was Swanwick's first Relay. Hundreds flocked to the field, and the event raised in excess of £19,000. 24 teams took part in the event, and hundred of Candle Bags were lit. Relay 2010 will be Swanwick's fourth event. The three events to date have raised just under £60,000 for Cancer Research UK .

Sponsor our putting competition - Your company banner placed at the side of our putting green as golfers take part in a 9 hole putting contest before our main game. Golfers could also play for a trophy bearing your company or organisation's name. Packages from £30, please contact us.

Sponsor a hole - Have a particular hole named after you or your organisation. this could be the whole when the big hitters are attempting to beat the longest drive, or one of our nearest the pin competitions. Packages from £25, please contact us.

Sponsored Golf Balls - Sponsor the production of golf balls, to be given to each player, with your logo on one side and our charity logo on the other. A great way of ensuring all players see your branding. Approximate cost: £100-£150, please contact us for more details.

Special Event Sponsorship - We would also be pleased to talk to organisations that would like to sponsor extra, special events that we, at present, have not included in our golf day schedule. Opportunities could potentially be widespread and would give spectators the "wow" factor.
