Welcome to golf for life
Take Part and Help Others!
Golf for Life is an 18 hole golf event held in support of Swanwick Relay for Life, a charity that has raised nearly £60,000 for Cancer Research UK over the last three years.
Our 2010 event will be held at Grassmoor Golf Centre in Chesterfield, Derbyshire on Saturday July 17th 2010. As well as 18 holes of golf, food will be provided and there will be a putting competition, raffle and plenty of other fun activities. Entry for the day is just £29.50 and you can enter by any of the methods listed on our contact us page..

Golf for Life 2009
Shirland Golf Club in Derbyshire hosted our event in 2009. On May 28th thirty golfers took part in uncomfortably hot weather for the time of year. The winner of Golf for Life 2009 was local golfer Rod Holmes, who scored an impressive 36 stableford points off a handicap of 12. Second place went to James Reid (32 points off 11), while Steve Hall-Patch (24 handicap) won the third place prize on countback from Mike Wakefield (28 handicap), both players scoring 30 points.
There were numerous other prizes awarded on the day, Allan Bostock, from South Yorkshire, won the longest drive and first nearest the pin competition, while Rod Holmes completed a memorable day by claiming the second nearest the pin prize. Les Barnard, from Leeds, won a bottle of champagne for his victory in the putting competition.
